More about

yours truly...

Welcome, everyone! I'm Sadie Rose. My home base is the lovely neighborhood of Avondale in the great city of Chicago, IL. I live with my husband, Patrick, and our 3 cats Ellington, Thelonious, and Marley. I am an actress, singer, and violinist by trade with a BFA in Musical Theater from Roosevelt U., Chicago College of the Performing Arts. I own GingerSnap Performing Arts, a slowly growing Children's Theatre Company who's mission is to bring arts education to all. As someone who works in the arts, I also have many other interests which lead me to my much loved "day job" in the Fitness Industry. Something thats flexible, fun, and keeps me moving.

I've worked in the Chicago Fitness Industry for over 6 years now. I was originally an avid runner, but at age 23 I was dealing with aches and pains in knees and hips and realized I might need to switch out my endorphin source. In 2013, one of my very best friends literally had to DRAG me to a barre class, claiming that I would soon be obsessed with it. After MANY excuses, I finally caved and joined her at what is now Salt Fitness Chicago in Bucktown for a barre class. My very first. Guess what...I was immediately hooked. After years of not even realizing my workouts and runs did NOT have to be incredibly painful for my joints (I just thought that was part of it), I finally found an amazing and healthy fit. Little did I know where that first class at Salt Fitness would lead me!

Around that same time, I was also working as a preschool teacher at JCYS while juggling long rehearsal hours for shows and struggling to find time to audition. I realized I needed a change. After taking care of my 3 year olds all day, I walked in to take a barre class at Salt and it hit me: I could do this! I could teach here!

Honestly...I begged them to let me audition to teach. They told me they didn't have any classes to offer me on the schedule and I said I didn't care. When they needed a sub, I would be there. Cut to 2 years later, 3 Salt audition/interviews, and teacher training and I was set up in my new job.

I have officially been on the schedule at Salt, and still am, for 6+ years. Since then, I have trained there to teach all of their disciplines: Barre, HIIT, and Cycle. I am also lucky enough to have been added to the awesome team of teachers at CHI50 3 years ago where I trained on the Megaformer in the Lagree Method. I love moving in many ways which is why I've loved creating my own class format here as well. To explore deeper into the things I know and love, and find creativity and variety.

What I'm saying is: come take class with me! Take a private from me, virtually or in-person. Checkout my Virtual Group Classes. Visit me at Salt Fitness Chicago for a great barre or HIIT class. And if you have not checked out the Megaformer at CHI50 yet, you absolutely must! It's like a pilates reformer, but WAY bigger and honestly, I might be biased, but...way more fun.

Let's move!
